Parasail was originally owned by Parachutes Australia,
the manufacturer of Australia’s military parachutes. They first
designed their own parasail in the early eighties. After trying
many different designs, it was decided, the 20 gore parasail performed
the best.
Phil Bird a commercial operator on Sydney Harbour has flown most
brands of parasails. He preferred the parasail Australia (or locally
known as the "P.A Chute"). In 1998 he took over the manufacturing
of the parasails and kept on the original machinists. He made
a few modifications and will now guarantee they will out perform
any other parasail on the market.
